Rolling mill is an important equipment for plastic deformation of billet rolling. Its working principle is to roll the blank by the relative high-speed rotation of the roll, and then enter the next rolling mill or continuous rolling process for continuous rolling and rolling to achieve the required size of the blank. Therefore, the temperature rise of the rolling mill is mainly caused by the temperature of the billet itself after heating and the heat released in the rolling process. In short, when the temperature of the rolling mill is too high, it will cause damage to the roll, bearing, etc. we need to find a way to cool it so as not to affect the normal production. The following are three conventional cooling methods:

1. Strengthen the ventilation around the rolling mill

This should be the easiest way to increase the cooling air volume of the fan according to the heat released by the rolling mill. However, if the air volume is too large, the temperature drop of the rolling stock will be too fast, which will affect the product quality.

2. Increase the roller water spray device

Spray water from the upper roll and spray water at the guide.

3. Increase the rolling steel insulation conveyor roller

The installation of the heat preservation device during the rolling conveyance process can prevent the temperature drop of the rolled piece during the conveying process from being too fast, and can also block the release of heat of the rolled piece itself, reduce the heat radiation to the rolling staff, and ensure the health of the worker.
